Dear CLS Families,

Welcome back to Crystal Lake School and the start of another amazing year, and a special welcome to our new Crystal Lake families! I hope everyone is having a summer filled with fun, family and friends. We’ve been busy here preparing for the arrival and reunion of our CLS Tigers, and we’re looking forward to seeing our classrooms and hallways once again full of learning and laughter.

Families of students Grades 1-6, you may access your child's classroom teacher and information by logging into your Infinite Campus parent portal Friday, August 15^th at 10:00 am. You can access your parent portal here. 

You should see your child’s homeroom teacher listed by using the “Schedule” tab within Infinite Campus.You can also click on the ‘More’ option and see that there is an area to access an electronic ‘Backpack.’ This backpack is where you will be able to access a welcome letter from your child’s classroom teacher. Along with the placement information on August 15th, we will also provide you with links for all students with supply lists for the upcoming school year. These lists will also be available on the Crystal Lake School website throughout the year once placement is completed.

Kindergarten families will receive a separate email today with more detailed information on Kindergarten Orientation held on Monday, August 18^th, class placement and more. Supply lists will be also available for Kindergarten families on August 15^th, so parents can get a head start on supply shopping.

As you may already know, Mrs. Lynn Seypura, our Crystal Lake School nurse of many years, retired at the end of the last school year. We will greatly miss her and wish her well. Please send any correspondence and documentation to our new CLS nurse, Ms. Andrea Maningas (amaningas@ellingtonschools.net) and the CLS Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Boske (nboske@ellingtonschools.net).

You will be receiving your first CLS Paw Print (our Friday newsletter) on August 22^nd, that will provide more details- stay tuned! I hope everyone continues to enjoy their summer, and we'll see everyone in a few short weeks.
